On-Level:
- Presentational/Projects (in TAC/HAC as PERFORMANCE): 30%
- At least one per six-weeks
- Writing: Persuasive or expository essay, blog post, newspaper article, ASL grammar and glossing, etc.
- Speaking: Comparative or expository presentation, vlog, news report, etc.
- Projects: Cultural projects that may be in English (lower levels) or the target language
- Interpersonal (in TAC/HAC as SUMMATIVE): 25%
- At least one per six-weeks
- Writing/Reading: email response, letter response, etc.
- Speaking/Listening/Signing: simulated conversation, teacher/student interaction response, etc.
- Interpretive (in TAC/HAC as FORMATIVE): 25%
- At least one per six weeks
- Reading: answering questions, determining text type and audience, finding main idea
- Listening: answering questions, determining text type and audience, finding main idea
- Receptive understanding: answering questions, determining signed information, finding key points and summary
- Daily: 20%
- 4 or more per six weeks.
- Class practices/activities in the above modes
- Warmups and bell-ringers
- Short homework assignments
- Short quizzes and formative assessments
